Booking terms and conditions

We hope you love Coastline cottage as much as we do. Here are some general booking terms and conditions:

Check-in Time is after 3pm and Checkout is 10am. Please contact us if you have any specific requests. 

Key code

Guests are requested to phone Lisa on 07514280925 one week before arrival to inform of expected time of arrival and to obtain the door key safe number.

 

Payment details and Security / Reservation Deposits   

  • To make a booking we require a deposit. This is non-refundable (except in the case of a Government enforced travel ban).   
  • The balance of the final payment is required 4 weeks before your holiday start date. We reserve the right to re-let Coastline cottage if the balance of rent is not paid at this point.  
  • If your booking cannot go ahead due to Government enforced travel restrictions that apply to your registered booking address, you will be fully refunded.  
  • If you or a member of your party are unwell or unable to travel for other reasons, we will not be able to refund you. We recommend that you purchase travel insurance to cover your own personal circumstances.   
  • All bookings must be made by a person who is 21 years or more at the date of making the booking.   

 
        Looking after Coastline cottage 

        To help us all look after Coastline cottage we respectfully ask that: 

  • No damage is done to Coastline cottage or its contents, including linens, beyond normal wear and tear (please let us know if you have any accidents or minor breakages, so we can replace them as necessary).   
  • All charges accrued during the stay are paid prior to departure.    
  • You do not smoke or vape either inside, or outside close to the back door. 
  • Open fires are not allowed on the site, and please use barbecues away from the door. We have provided some bricks to lay a disposable barbecue on, please tidy away disposable barbecues after use.
  • For safety reasons, we do not allow the use of candles inside Coastline cottage or the summer house.
  • All general rubbish is to be placed in black sacks in the black rubbish bin in the garden, recycled waste is placed loose in the blue bin.
  • Dirty dishes are washed prior to departure.   
  • All linen is stripped off the beds and placed in the bath tub. 
  • The front door is locked on departure and the keys are left in the key safe.
  • All lights are turned off on departure of the property. 
  • You tell us about any problems of deficiencies in the property or its contents within 24 hours.  On receipt of such a report, we (or our representative) will agree in good faith with you (the guest) what remedial action should be taken. On no account will complaints be accepted, or correspondence entered into, where complaints are made after the end of the Rental Period, as we would not have had the opportunity to take immediate remedial action for you. 

Linen and Cleaning  

Electricity, linen and cleaning are included in the rental fees. Please bring your own beach towels to use outside. Please do not take any Coastline cottage linen outside of the property. 

 Electric Vehicle charging 

We will not permit any charging of any electric vehicle on the premises. 

Please note if this is attempted at any time we will retain your full damage / security deposit.

Dogs  

Please notify us if you will bringing your dog. We ask the following of dog owners:  

  • That you place the blankets provided or your own blankets on soft surfaces your dog is likely to jump up onto.  Please do not allow your dogs on to the beds.
  • That you don’t leave your dog unattended for long periods.     
  • Please bag up and dispose of all dog waste appropriately. 
  • All dogs must be wormed and treated with the appropriate flea and tick deterrent prior to your arrival.  
  • We assume no responsibility for illness or injury that humans or pets may incur while on the premises.  

 
Liability for personal injury and damage to property  

  • We (the owners of Coastline cottage) shall not in any circumstances be responsible for any damage to property or any consequential losses suffered by the Guest or the Guest invitees arising out of any negligent Act or omissions on the part of us or our servants or Agents acting within the scope of their authority. The Client must make his own insurance arrangements in respect of such matters.  

 
Non availability 

We (the owners of Coastline cottage) are relieved of responsibility and liability in the event of the accommodation not being available owing to storm, fire or circumstances beyond our control. In such an instance we will offer a full refund.
